Designed by Paloma González-Espejo, the Yume furniture collection is animated by a common principle: beauty expressed through the connection of shapes and materials. The warmth and softness of the wooden parts, handcrafted in Belgium,, combined with the grace and elegance of natural stone. Each element is articulated through a concealed pivoting axis that allows the tables to be positioned at various angles.
The collection started with the design of a bedside table inspired by eclectic influences such as Eduardo Chillida, Russian Constructivism, Elworth Kelly and produced for a graduation project. Originally supposed to be called ‘you/me’ to illustrate the dual nature of the design, Paloma coincidentally discovered that Yume meant ‘dream’ in Japanese which perfectly fitted the project.
Today, the collection features bedside tables, side tables, consoles and coffee tables in solid wood and natural stone. These versatile and playful design creations add a dreamlike and timeless visual presence through the use of high-end natural materials and craftsmanship.
